Primary tracheal tumors

Most frequent in distal 1/3 of trachea
Histologies: squamous cell most common (50% of patients; tends to occur distally); adenoid cystic (25%; proximal; younger patients)
Primary treatment is surgical
50% 5-yr OS for completely resected ACC
25% 5-yr OS for completely resected SCC
